Two CUs Announce Return of Approximately $30 Million to Members

FORT WORTH, Texas–American Airlines FCU has announced it is paying out $10 million to members in the form of a bonus dividend for 2023.

In announcing the payout, the $8.53-million AAFCU said “It’s important to us that our members understand that when they succeed, we all succeed.”

A member’s individual payout is based on dividends earned on qualifying share accounts and/or interest paid on auto loans, credit cards, mortgages, personal loans or student loans.  In addition, there’s a multi-product $25 bonus for participation in at least three or more products from the eight products listed below, according to AAFCU:

  • An open share account
  • An open checking account that has been active within the last 91 days
  • A share certificate with a balance
  • An open credit card that has been active within the last 91 days
  • A vehicle loan with a balance
  • A mortgage or home equity loan with a balance
  • Any other loan with a balance, including a line of credit with a zero balance that has been active within the last 91 days
  • An open brokerage investment account through Flagship Financial Group

‘Take Advantage’ of Offer

“While the bonus isn't guaranteed, the amount an individual member receives is directly impacted by their involvement in the Credit Union,” said President and CEO Gail Enda in a statement on the credit union’s website. “When members ask if it's possible to increase the amount of their bonus dividend, I tell them to take advantage of as many of the financial solutions we offer as possible. These products not only add value to your life, they can also literally pay off in the end.”

AAFCU noted this year’s dividend brings to nearly $193 million the amount the 351,000-member credit union has returned to members since 1998.

Member Rebate Paid in Georgia

Since the launch of the program 2017, the credit union said it has been able to give back over $112 million to its members.

“Our mission has always been centered on the success and satisfaction of our members,” said President and CEO Christina O’Brien. “Being able to exceed $20 million in returned rebates reflects our ongoing commitment to providing our members with not only exceptional financial services, but tangible benefits that contribute to their financial growth.”

The $4.3-billion Robins Financial has more than 268,000 members.
