MOBILE, Ala.—One ATM was vandalized and another was dragged out of the drive-through at a branch of All In Credit Union here, WKRG reported.
The credit union reported the crime happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
“It was a pretty bold move for these men to pull up around 4 in the morning,” Mobile Police Department Public Information Officer Blake Brown told WKRG. “I know it’s not necessarily the busiest time of day, but it’s right near a busy highway on Airport Boulevard.”
According to officials, their officers responded to All In Credit Unit around 4 a.m. after an alarm at the CU went off. Officers arrived and said they found an ATM on the road and a wrecked truck nearby. They also found that a man had attempted to pry open the second ATM, WKRG said.
Officers found that a truck reported stolen from S&N Products Monday night was used to ram the ATM on the roadway.
The suspects couldn’t get money out of the ATMs and left the area before officers arrived, according to officials, WKRG said.
