’Twas The Night Before Christmas, Now Headed To The Big House

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.—The armed robber who held up an office of First Priority Credit Union here on Christmas Eve has been captured.

Anthony Green, 33, was apprehended three blocks from where the robbery happened, when officers who were in the area on an unrelated matter spotted him. Police recovered the stolen money that was in a plastic bag in Green’s possession, WBKO reported.

According to the criminal complaint, Green entered the branch wearing a mask and announced he was robbing the CU. Greene’s hand was concealed in his jacket pocket and he used it to motion to the teller, implying he had a gun.

Police say Green also has two outstanding warrants out of Wayne County for unlawful retention of leased vehicle.
