WASHINGTON—President Trump has announced plans to nominate Jovita Carranza to lead the Small Business Administration (SBA). Carranza currently serves as U.S. treasurer within the Treasury Department, and previously served as deputy SBA administrator.
Carranza is being nominated to replace Linda McMahon as SBA administrator; McMahon recently announced she would be stepping down from the position.
Both trade associations have been working with the SBA to ensure credit union access to the program. Most recently, NAFCU met with McMahon last month to discuss these efforts and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the agency in 2017.
