TEMPE, Ariz. –TruWest Credit Union said it is now paying members who use its High Yield Checking Account 4% APY on checking balances of up to $10,000.
Balances over $10,000 earn 0.05% APY on the portion of the balance over $10,000, resulting in a tiered range from 4.00% to 0.05% APY.
To earn this rate of return, TruWest CU said each month members need to have $500 or more in qualifying direct deposits and make 15 or more qualifying Rewards debit or credit card transactions.
“TruWest is proud to offer its High Yield Checking members 4% annual percentage yield,” said CFO Mike Ward. “This competitive rate of return will surely benefit members and their families year after year.”
According to TruWest, it offers two Rewards Checking Accounts: High Yield Checking and Cash Back Checking. Both accounts have no minimum checking balance and no penalties for not meeting monthly Rewards requirements, the $1.5-billion credit union said.
