SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — TruChoice FCU has launched a new InCheck account.
“Designed to help members save while they spend, this new account allows members to earn high dividends on balances of up to $10,000,” TruChoice FCU said in a statement. “Like a high yield checking account, the InCheck account rewards members for doing their daily banking.”
The $232.6-million TruChoice said its 8% intro rate will remain in place throughout the summer.
“Many high yield checking accounts are designed to benefit folks in higher income brackets, with rewards geared to those with high balances,” Payments & Omni Experience Manager Sara McGrane said in a statement. “At TruChoice, we wanted to give those same benefits to all members. The InCheck account allows everyone to earn dividends, no matter how much they keep in the account.”
Building Financial Wellness
McGrane said building financial wellness is another objective of the new offering.
“With more than 45% of Mainers unable to cover a $400 emergency, we wanted to provide a way to help everyone build savings while also giving back to the membership,” she added in her statement. “As a local credit union, giving back to members is baked into every decision TruChoice makes. We’re proud of the work our team has done to bring this new account option to our members.”
