HYDE PARK, N.Y.—Prosecutors here have formally charged three men accused of robbing a branch of Hudson Valley FCU here with additional charges, and charged a teller with helping to plan the robbery.
In addition to robbery charges, authorities say the robbers tied up a local man and forced him into the trunk of his car, then used that car in the robbery where they assaulted staff before leaving with stolen funds. Prosecutors allege that the men, in one final act of violence, doused the car-jacked vehicle's owner with bleach before fleeing, according to court papers.
Charged were three Maryland men, William McKinney, 21; William Burton, 26; and Victory Denny, 21, all of whom have entered not guilty pleas to the 23-count indictment that includes second-degree kidnapping and first-degree robbery, both felonies.
Also arraigned was 20-year-old Bianca King, who faces 13 counts, including first-degree robbery, with prosecutors alleging that King helped to plan the robbery. King also entered a not guilty plea.
