WASHINGTON--Credit unions seeking information on becoming certified Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) can attend the CDFI Fund’s latest certification webinar on April 16, America's Credit Unions reminded.
In addition to prospective applicants, the webinar is open to certified CDFIs and other stakeholders to ask questions about certification and the process.
Registration is now open for the webinar, scheduled for Tuesday from 3 to 4:15 p.m. ET.
Certified CDFIs are eligible for grants and other awards from the Treasury’s CDFI Fund. As of Jan. 13, credit unions are 446 out of 1,383 certified CDFIs, the largest financial institution type, ACU noted.
