LONDON—Despite the struggle some major banks are having with profitability on their card programs as the result of generous rewards, offers, it doesn’t appear issuers will be dialing back their offers in 2019—especially in travel rewards.
The already impressive intro bonus for the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard has just gotten a lot more enticing. Starting now, new cardholders can earn a huge 70,000 intro bonus miles reward by spending $5,000 on purchases within the first 90 days after opening their account, NextAdvisor said.
That's equal to $700.
“Once you’ve earned your intro bonus and you are ready to redeem those miles, doing so will net you 5% back toward your next redemption, every time — that means your $700 intro bonus is actually worth $735 when all is said and done,” noted NextAdvisor.
