Toto, One Credit Union Isn’t In Kansas Anymore

WICHITA, Kan.–Credit Union of America has finalized its merger with Central Kansas Credit Union.

The merger added two locations to the CUA branch system, one in Hutchinson, Kan., and the other in Pratt, Kan.

“For a few weeks after the merger we are providing additional staff from Wichita at the two new locations,” said COO Eileen Phelps. “This will help in minimizing wait time for members that have account questions and will ease the transition for the CKCU staff now that they are using CUA’s systems.”

Members were treated to cookies, cool water in the summer heat, and CUA gifts as they visited the new branches, the credit union said.

“We are really pleased to expand CUA’s service area into these two markets,” said CEO Frank Shoffner. “Providing high value services at a lower market cost is what keeps the credit union movement alive.”

In addition to CUA’s full line of account services and technology, CUA reported it installed drive‐up ATMs at both locations. The Hutchinson ATM is a “smart” ATM that accepts deposits.

Credit Union of America has approximately $858.5-million in assets.
