MAPLE GROVE, Minn. —TopLine FCU here is one of the sponsors of the “Power of Produce (PoP) Club in which kids are offered $2 to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables when they visit the Maple Grove Farmers Market through Oct. 1.
This year’s PoP Club follows a similar program introduced in 2014, during which more than 1,100 children participated. Children who participate in the program must bring an adult to the PoP Club tent at the market to enroll in the program. Participants will receive a shopping bag along with their $2 token, and can then spend their tokens on fruit, vegetables or food-bearing plants.
TopLine FCU is providing its support through the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation. The PoP Club program is running for 12 weeks.
