To Mark ‘Successful Year,’ DCUC Donates Nearly $100K to Military, CU Organizations

WASHINGTON – To close out what it called “another successful year,” the Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) said it has donated an additional $98,000 to military and credit union organizations.

Anthony Hernandez

“DCUC’s mission is to Serve Those Who Serve Our Country, and as the year ends, we are proud to be able to give back to our industry partners and organizations that serve the military community,” said DCUC President/CEO Anthony Hernandez. “Just as our member credit unions give back to their communities, it is important for us to give back to ours. This year, DCUC focused its year-end contributions on causes that are closest to military families: wounded warriors, military spouse employment, childcare, and military child education.”

According to DCUC, the organizations it chose to support do “outstanding work and have a tremendous impact in the credit union industry and on our military and veteran communities.”
