Tinker FCU Placing Amazon Hub Lockers in Certain Branches

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.–Tinker Federal Credit Union has partnered with Amazon to bring Amazon Hub Lockers to seven metro branches.

Amazon Hub Lockers are secure, self-service kiosks that allow consumers to pick up packages purchased from the online retailer at a place and time that's convenient for buyers, including evenings and weekends.

“Tinker Federal Credit Union is excited to have partnered with Amazon to bring Amazon Hub Lockers to select branch locations throughout the metro,” Matt Downing, TFCU’s vice president of research and delivery, told the Cornerstone Credit Union League. “We look at this as a strategic move to not only provide a value-added service to our community, but also to provide another opportunity for the credit union to interact with both members and nonmembers by providing them with a safer alternative to having packages delivered to their homes.

“Our hope is that the community will have packages delivered to a TFCU Locker location and stop in to say hello or learn about our great products and services while retrieving their Amazon shipments,” Downing added.

The $4-billion Tinker FCU has more than 392,000 members.
