MADISON, Wis.—CUES is urging credit unions to vote and to help determine who will move to the Top 15 of its Next Top Credit Union Exec challenge.
Twenty-five young, emerging leaders from within the credit union industry created video applications to compete for 2016 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec, powered by Currency and in partnership with DDJ Myers.
Voting is now open through Wednesday, July 13, at 3:00 p.m. ET. The ten applicants with the most online votes will have the opportunity to continue on in the competition, and a special judging committee will add five additional applicants to form the Top 15.
According to CUES, members of the Top 15 will create another blog post about their project. And each of the Top 15 will also receive a remote coaching session with DDJ Myers.
A second judging panel will evaluate and score the Top 15 based on their original application videos, their blog posts and the value their projects bring to their credit unions and to the credit union industry as a whole. These results will be tabulated and the five highest-ranking applicants will be named finalists, CUES said.
The five finalists will win additional coaching sessions and registration, accommodation and airfare to CUES' CEO/Executive Team Network (www.cues.org/CNET) in Savannah, Ga., October 22-25, 2016, a prize package valued at $6,000. While in Savannah, the Finalists will face off for the grand prize, a CUES educational package valued at $20,000, and the honor of being named 2016 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec.
