SEAFORD, Del.–Allen Riley, VP-operations with Tidemark Federal Credit Union, has died. Mr. Riley had a long career in credit unions.
A retired captain with the Delaware State Police, Mr. Riley initially served on the board of Delaware State Police FCU in the early 1980’s, including as chairman, and then later served as the CU’s CEO. He later joined Tidemark FCU as VP of Operations where he served for 17 years until his death.
“He was a true credit union champion possessing a deep commitment to the principle of people helping people,” Tidemark FCU said in a statement. “During his tenure in the industry, he served in many capacities including as Chairman of the Delaware Credit Union League until its successful merger with the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) in 2016. He touched many lives during his journey and will be sadly missed.”
“He was a special person with a compassionate heart and a strong sense of community. He loved Tidemark and the people he worked with,” said Pam Fleuette, president/CEO of Tidemark FCU. “He touched many people and in so doing left a legacy that will last many years into the future. I was truly honored to know Allen and call him my friend.”
