WATERFORD, Conn.–Three credit unions have announced year-end bonuses for members.
- Charter Oak FCU said it has awarded more than $532,000 in annual $100 cash bonuses to members of its Gold Rewards program. The amount marks the highest payout in the history of the member-rewards program. Since the start of Gold Rewards in 2010, Charter Oak said it has paid more than $3 million in annual $100 cash bonuses. This year bonuses were paid to 5,326 members.
- Hanscom Federal Credit Union, which serves Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts said it is paying a Loyalty Dividend to members representing 2% of most consumer loan finance charges as well as 2% of dividends earned on savings. This is the 21st consecutive year the credit union paid such dividends, returning more than $8 million directly to members since 1996.
- And for the first time in its 63-year history, Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins, Ga., is paying a “loyalty reward” to members in the amount of $12 million.
"The Loyalty Reward was based on deposit balances, loan balances, and overall usage of Robins Financial’s products and services," the credit union said in a statement. "This reward was another way to give back and thank our loyal members that have made the credit union their primary financial institution."
In all more than 97,000 of RFCU’s 187,000 members are receiving the bonus.
