LOS ANGELES–With clocks set to “Spring Forward” in much of the United States this weekend, Wescom Credit Union will be celebrating the changing of the clocks with #WescomKindness for Daylight Saving Time. The credit union is inviting guests to spring forward with free coffee at select locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
“Many people are surprised to learn that Wescom is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned by our members. To support our mission of making banking a better experience, we’re excited to spread #WescomKindness in Southern California with our third annual event in association with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,” said Deena Otto, senior vice president, marketing and administration, Wescom Credit Union, in a statement. “This year we’ve added two more locations to the list of participating Coffee Bean cafes, allowing us to surprise more people in our communities with free coffee to brighten their day.”
On Sunday, Wescom Credit Union said it will be picking up the tab for lucky guests in 21 different The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf locations in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Beverage tabs will be paid by Wescom, up to $15 per transaction, beginning the moment the doors open in the morning until $2,000-worth of bills are paid for at each of the 21 designated locations.
Big Blue, Wescom’s self-contained mobile financial center, will be parked adjacent to the Pasadena location (with financial experts on hand to answer any questions, the credit union said. While visiting Big Blue, SoCal residents can open a Wescom checking account, get pre-approved for a Wescom loan as well as enjoy the added convenience of getting cash from Big Blue’s ATM, it added.
