MARSHFIELD, Mass.–Credit unions considering a rebranding or just a refocusing of their marketing efforts might want to look to the example set by one document shredding company here. DataSafe Information Security here is changing its name to Destruction.com.
As the company prepares to mark its 30th anniversary, the company’s partners, Rick Carey and son, Eric, said they were looking to address the one overriding factor customers across all industries express when they engage the company: to make sure their documents are securely destroyed.
“When we launched the firm, we selected the name Datasafe Information Security because we wanted to highlight our commitment to security, and showcase our experience in the industry,” said Carey in a statement. “We think our URL clearly defines who we are and what we do. Plus, it’s a very memorable name.”
Carey added that while pricing is important, “destruction” remains consumers top concern.
