HOUSTON – An ATM was stolen from a credit union here by thieves using a forklift to rip it from its moorings.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded around 3:30 a.m. to an alarm call at the Houston Highway Credit Union. When HPD arrived at the scene, they found that the suspects had used a stolen forklift to pry an ATM from the foundation and loaded it into the back of a box truck, police said.
Police said they are now reviewing surveillance video in hopes of identifying the suspects and to get a description of the box truck used.
