Thieves Use Heavy Equipment in Attempt to Steal ATM

LAS VEGAS — Thieves have hit yet another credit union with an attempt to steal an ATM.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were called to a branch of Clark County Credit Union around 4:45 a.m. following report of the attempted theft.  When officers arrived, they found the ATM in the drive-thru damaged after thieves used a  piece of construction equipment to try and break open the machine.

Police said it is currently unknown if or how much money the suspect may have gotten away with.

No suspects have been named.
