PHOENIX—One person is dead and another suspect has been arrested in a robbery here yesterday at a branch of Desert Schools FCU.
According to Phoenix police, two armed men entered the branch and attempted a robbery, when another person attempted to intervene, shooting one of the alleged robbers.
That robber was taken to the hospital, where he died. Police were uncertain whether the gun used was taken from one of the robbers or was in the possession of the person who intervened, according to AZCentral.com. The second alleged robber fled in a stolen car but wrecked the vehicle several blocks from the credit union and was arrested.
