TOLEDO, Ohio— Sun Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO to succeed Marcia Bourdo, who had been serving as interim president/CEO after 38 years of service.
Named to lead the $650-million organization is Brian Kelbley, who had been serving as previous executive vice president. Kelbley has been leading the credit union’s finance and business services departments, expertise that earned him CUNA’s 2021 Finance Council Rising Star Award.
"Brian has proven himself to be a champion of Sun Federal's values throughout his time at Sun Federal, and the board is excited to partner with him to bring the credit union into a new era of growth and prosperity,” said SFCU Board Chair Christy Gordon. "Brian understands the various challenges credit unions currently face, and his leadership will be invaluable as we continue to embrace new technologies and innovations to better deliver to our members the financial services they need and deserve."
Sun Federal has more than 36,000 members.
