BAKERSFIELD, Calif.–Strata Credit Union is rolling out a celebration around its 70th anniversary, as well as its new name.
The $250-million CU, whose name change isn’t official until Feb. 1, was previously known as Kern FCU. It is planning a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary Feb. 12.
“Credit unions have always been about people helping people,” said Strata CU CEO Brandon Ivie. “With the help of our community, we will grant a total of 70 wishes for individuals or organizations that are in need right here in our community whose wishes will be submitted by someone on their behalf."
Effective Feb. 1., it will also launch a dedicated website tied to the campaign at www.stratacu.org/70-wishes
