ARLINGTON, Va.–NAFCU’s bimonthly magazine, The Federal Credit Union, has won the 2015 Bronze EXCEL Award from Association Media and Publishing for its July-August 2014 The Federal Credit Union feature, “Getting Into the Game.”
Written by freelancer Pamela Mills-Senn, the story focused on how gamification can be used to help drive members’ engagement with their credit unions and, by extension, help credit unions improve their bottom lines and thrive in the consumer services marketplace. Highlighted in the piece is NAFCU member Grow Financial Federal Credit Union’s use of gamification to promote its new downtown branch in Tampa, Fla.
“NAFCU’s magazine is an important touchpoint with our member credit unions, and each issue is aimed at providing credit union CEOs and their staff tools and information they can use to better their institutions and the overall credit union member experience,” said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. “We’re proud of The Federal Credit Union and of this recognition bestowed by AM&P. Kudos to the TFCU editors and staff for turning out such a top-notch publication.”
The AM&P EXCEL Awards competition, held yearly, exclusively recognizes excellence and leadership in nonprofit association media, publishing, marketing, and communications.
