The Campaign in Maine: Credit Unions Introduce New ‘Real Member Story’ TV Spot

WESTBROOK, Maine–Maine’s credit unions have released another television commercial as part of the “Real Member Story” campaign.

The newest spot features Kristen Glidden, who shares how her credit union helped her in the transition from growing up in Madawaska to moving to Gorham to study at the University of Southern Maine, according to the Maine league.

“In her first week of college, she visited an ATM that, unfortunately, retained her debit card. Thanks to the staff at a local credit union who introduced her to shared branching, Kristen was able to access her home credit union account in Aroostook County while waiting for her new card to come in the mail,” the league said. “This, along with accessing her accounts through digital banking, allowed Kristen to go about her fast-paced life with no hiccups.”

In announcing the new ad, the league said Glidden appreciates the trust and comfort she has with credit unions and knows her money is safe. “She also loves how credit unions make her feel like she’s at home,” the MCUL said.
