COLUMBUS, Ohio–Telhio Credit Union said it has expanded its charter to Champaign, Clark, Greene, Marion, Miami, Montgomery, Morrow, and Richland counties in Ohio.
With this expansion, the $1.3-billion Telhio said its field of membership will expand to 19 counties from 11, expanding the potential membership population from 3,545,250 to 4,715,435, a 33 % increase.
“Telhio is where banking and community come together, and we are proud to welcome new members from these communities,” said President and CEO Leslie Bumgarner. “Our continuous advancements and innovations in banking technology have allowed us to expand our services and it was a natural fit to enter these markets. We are excited to bring new members into our strong online banking community and offer them the best financial options possible and added perks that are both beneficial and rewarding.”
Telhio CU said the eight new counties join Telhio’s current charter areas in Franklin, Fairfield, Delaware, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, Union, Hamilton, Warren, Butler and Preble counties.
Telhio CU has approximately 70,000 members.
