DES MOINES, Iowa–Payments processor TMG has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie Award in the Fastest Growing Company of the Year category.

Part of the 14th Annual American Business Awards, the honor comes in recognition of the company’s record growth in 2015.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. More than 3,400 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration this year. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony in New York on June 20.

“This recognition is shared with our financial institution clients, many of which exceeded their own strategic growth milestones last year,” said TMG CEO Shazia Manus. “We also have passionate employees and industry-leading sister companies and strategic partners, including CO-OP Financial Services and First Data, to name a few, that contributed to our growth and success. As TMG expands into new markets and researches, tests and launches solutions related to digital payments, big data, consumer controls, distributed ledger and more, we will continue working together to push the industry forward.”

Among the judges’ comments was this remark congratulating the payments processor on a successful year: “Excellent track record in 2015! TMG appears to have made across-the-board improvements in every important area of performance.”

A second judge – one of more than 250 worldwide who participated in the judging process – commented on the company’s “great success on EMV and Apple Pay conversion.” Ninety-eight percent of TMG’s credit clients have successfully converted their mag-stripe cards to EMV chip cards; 60% have either completed the same or are in process to completion on the debit side. As for digital wallets, 75% of TMG’s clients have enrolled in at least Apple Pay, if not also Android Pay and Samsung Pay.

“The community financial institution is on the verge of a break-out moment with consumers,” said Manus. “Credit unions and community banks that partner with TMG see the potential to become premier providers of intuitive, personalized and ultramodern payments solutions. Their willingness to pilot new technologies, execute innovative strategies and adapt their products and services has allowed us to grow alongside them – not only in size and scope, but also in influence.”
