DES MOINES, Iowa–TMG Financial Services (TMGFS) has announced an expansion of its ATIRAcredit card rewards program to empower charitable giving through points redemption.
Expanding the reward redemption platform furthers an already robust list of ATIRAcredit cardmember benefits. ATIRAcredit’s Good Life Rewards offer three ways for cardmembers to redeem points: cash back; merchandise and gift cards; and travel, events and activities, the company said.
“Now, ATIRAcredit cardmembers may designate redeemed points for up to three charities of their choice from a list of more than 1,000 major and local charities and causes. “On behalf of our community financial institution partners, we are constantly evaluating new features and products that complement the products and services our financial institution and member-based association partners offer,” said Brian Storey, TMGFS relationship manager. “The way consumers view charitable giving is changing, particularly across generations. Our partners want to transcend generational differences by continuing to create initiatives that connect with cardmembers in meaningful ways.”
According to TMGFS, while a recent report indicates varying preferences in the charitable habits of Generation X, Generation Y, Baby Boomers and Matures, there is a shared commonality among givers – the preference for multichannel giving opportunities.
Further analyses of giving habits reveal other noteworthy shifts. Individual giving is on the rise in both current and inflation-adjusted dollars.
“With more digital tools at their fingertips, Millennials live in a more participatory world,” said Storey. “Their exposure to issues across the globe has led them to take action in unimaginable and effective ways. The financial institutions that understand and enable that action will have a reputational leg up as they pursue relationships with this influential generation.”
