LAKE JACKSON, Texas–Texas Dow Employees Credit Union has officially named a new president and CEO. The $4-billion credit union said it has selected Isaac Johnson to lead the organization.
Johnson has been serving Interim CEO since April of this year, and prior to that served as chief administrative, legal and diversity officer. Johnson has also held leadership positions with TDECU, USAA, Wells Fargo, and Trustmark National Bank, Isaac and also serves as a Brigadier General commanding the 351st Civil Affairs Command, United States Army Reserve.
“I am honored to lead this exceptional credit union,” said Johnson. “I have an amazing team of leaders by my side, and we will work together with confidence, clarity, and purpose. I am also energized by TDECU’s commitment to providing the best member experience whenever and wherever we help people navigate their financial journey.”
Originally hailing from Gulfport, Miss., Johnson received his BBA from Mississippi State University and his MBA from Jackson State University. He went on to earn his JD from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and completed additional programs through institutions that include Cornell University and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Strategic Studies at U.S. Army War College.
