NEW YORK—As CUToday.info has extensively reported, credit card incentives have been mounting during the pandemic as issuers attempt to influence consumer behavior. Now Jet Blue has entered the mix with its biggest bonus deal yet.
JetBlue and Barclays have unveiled the highest bonus ever extended on the JetBlue Plus Card. New cardholders can earn up to 100,000 bonus points, Forbes reported.
Cardholders can earn 50,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases and paying the annual fee in full, both within the first 90 days. Then, they can earn an additional 50,000 bonus points after spending a total of $6,000 on purchases within the first 12 months.
“JetBlue TrueBlue points are worth around 1.3 – 1.4 cents apiece toward tickets booked on the airline, so you’re looking at around $1,300 in value from the bonus alone. The card normally only offers 40,000 bonus points, so the offer is 2.5 times higher than is normally available,” Forbes said.
