VANCOUVER, Wash.—A suspect who allegedly robbed a branch of iQ Credit Union here was shot and killed by police.
The suspect, reportedly armed with a rifle and wearing a ski mask, entered the iQ office located in the 15000 block of NE Fourth Plain Boulevard, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a white car, KOIN reported.
Police spotted the man in a nearby parking lot as he stopped the white car, got into a different dark-colored car and drove off. Officers caught up with the suspect and tried pulling him over about two miles away from the CU. Police used a PIT maneuver to stop his car, and three officers reportedly exchanged gunfire with him in the area of NE 182nd Avenue and NE 73rd Street, KOIN reported.
The suspect died in the shooting. No officers were hurt, a police spokesperson told the news station.
