WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Wednesday left Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook in place for the time being, declining to act on the Trump administration’s bid to remove her immediately, the Associated Press Reported.

In an unsigned order, the justices said they will hear arguments in January on President Donald Trump’s push to force Cook off the Fed board.

At that time, the Court will weigh whether to suspend a lower-court ruling that allowed her to remain while she contests her dismissal, the AP noted.

“The high-court order was a rare instance of Trump not quickly getting everything he wants from the justices in an emergency appeal,” the AP stated.
