ASTON, Penn.– Sun East FCU has named Debbie Cook as its new president. Cook, who previously served as EVP/CFO, will “work closely” with the $877-million credit union’s CEO, Michael Kaczenski, according to the credit union.
Sun East FCU has been a senior finance executive for more than a decade and brings more than 30 years of industry experience to her new position, the credit union said.
Cook previously served as an examiner for the NCUA and in various finance and accounting roles at Del-One Federal Credit Union. Cook was chosen as a Philadelphia Business Journal 2022 CFO of the Year Honoree and successfully completed all the requirements of the CUES CEO Institute to earn the designation of Certified Chief Executive, CCE, earlier this year.
As president, Cook will oversee the accounting/finance, lending, collections, marketing, risk management, branches, call center, payment solutions, and member relationships departments.

As president, I am committed to upholding our credit union’s mission of fostering financial well-being with each member and community interaction undertaken,” said Cook. “I look forward to leading our dedicated team in delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships within our community. Together, we will navigate the ever-evolving financial landscape and continue to provide our members with trusted financial solutions.”
