Still Time to Apply to be Part of FHFA’s Velocity TechSprint

WASHINGTON—The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has announced that credit unions can still apply to participate in the agency’s Velocity TechSprint, which is set for July 10-13 in Washington, D.C.

The application deadline is May 31.

The in-person event will take place at the FHFA’s headquarters and will “bring together experts and practitioners from the technology and the mortgage finance sectors to propose solutions for reducing mortgage costs and delivery times, while creating a more inclusive and transparent process,” according to the agency.

The initiative is part of the FHFA’s Office of Financial Technology, which was created in July 2022, which it said was created to assess risks of emerging of fintechs and develop strategies for FHFA-regulated entities to responsibly innovate with housing finance fintechs.

Additional information about TechSprint is available on the FHFA's website. For those unable to attend the three-day event, a virtual viewing option will be available. Go here for more information.
