DENVER—Steve Schmidle has resigned from his role as president and CEO of the $2.1-billion Westerra CU, the credit union announced.
“Mr. Schmidle’s six-year tenure at Westerra has been marked by his dual contributions as both CEO and Chief Financial Officer, during which time he brought a professional approach and unwavering commitment that fostered numerous positive advancements for the organization,” the CU said.
Schmidle will continue to lead as president and CEO until April 30.
During this time, Westerra said he will work closely with the board of directors to ensure a smooth transition to new leadership.
A comprehensive succession plan is in place, the CU said.
