ALEXANDRIA, Va.–Jan Roche, president and CEO of State Department FCU, has announced plans to retire this summer. A search has been launched for a successor.
Since Roche was appointed CEO in 2003, she has overseen asset growth to $2.8-billion from just over $700 million to its current $2.8 billion.
"I am honored to have led SDFCU as its CEO and am grateful for the many opportunities and experiences I've had throughout my career,” Roche said. “Visiting U.S. Embassies to provide financial education and gain feedback from our overseas members has been one of many highlights. I can’t believe how quickly this time has flown by. A constant state of improvement means a fast pace and never a dull moment.
“I’m incredibly proud of the inclusive and diverse culture we’ve built at SDFCU and of the dedication our employees and volunteers have toward helping our members achieve financial success. I will be leaving knowing SDFCU is well-positioned to thrive and grow in the years ahead,” Roche continued.
Humanidei is handling the search for a successor to lead the 90,000-member CU.
