SASKATOON, Canada—Staff from Conexus CU here recently headed to the heart of this city’s downtown area to hand out free coffee and tell the credit union story.
Employees talked about credit unions being a better financial alternative than Canada's big banks and the “many fees they have.”
CEO Eric Dillon told 620CKRM.com that workers not only discussed no-fee banking and the “Conexus difference,” but also emphasized the importance of consumers’ sound financial health.
The CU also gave out chances for a $185 giveaway, which Dillon said represents a full year of average bank fees.
