GREAT FALLS, Mont.—Embark Credit Union here has introduced special “Pathway” financing for students who want to take the six-week commercial driver’s license course through Great Falls College Montana State University.
It said it is doing so after learning that many of the students were struggling with the $3,000 cost of the course.
“The mission of Embark Credit Union is to make a difference in the lives of our members and our communities,” said Embark CEO Deb Evans. “This is a great way to partner with Great Falls College MSU to make that a reality for this group of people."
The credit union said it will also provide passing students with an additional $100 towards their licensing requirements if they provide evidence of completion.
CDL classes are scheduled to begin June 8. The cost of the course does not include drug screening tests, background check, motor vehicle record check, Department of Transportation physical, learners permit or TSA hazprint.
