HOUSTON–Space City Credit Union said it planning to construct a new building that will be located next to its main facility at 3101 Harrisburg Blvd in order to house its growing number of employees.
According to the $150-million credit union, the building will feature several amenities that will “make it a great place to work,” including a rooftop terrace connected to a large training/community room which can double as an event space. The building will also include a retail coffee/sandwich shop with covered outdoor seating.
‘Continued Growth’
“Due to our robust growth over the past few years, we are completely out of space,” said CEO Craig Rohden. “The new facility will allow for continued growth, enhance member value, and provide our employees with a great place to work.”
The credit union said it expects to begin construction later this year, with completion scheduled for late 2024.
Space City has approximately 12,000 members.
