FAIRHAVEN, Mass.–Southern Mass Credit Union has named a new CEO.
The $203-million SMCU has named Carmen F. Sylvester to lead the organization. Sylvester was previously with Centreville Bank, where she has been VP-finance for five years.
Sylvester has spent more than 25 years in financial services, and has held senior management positions with Advanced Engineering Group, P.C. in East Providence, R.I., People’s Credit Union in Middletown, R.I, and Fleet National Bank in Providence.
The credit union serves approximately 15,000 members.
