Southeastern CU Foundation Launches New Growth & Impact Grant Program

TALLAHASSEE, FL – A new Growth and Impact Grant Program has been launched by the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation (SECUF), the charitable arm of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU).

The grants will provide financial assistance to credit unions and chapters in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, according to the foundation, which said the program is an extension of SECUF’s existing Professional Development Grant Program.

SECUF has allocated a total of $80,000 to support credit unions and chapters in their efforts to create a meaningful impact for the members they serve and their communities.

According to the foundation, the Growth and Impact Grant Program includes two distinct grant opportunities: The Credit Union Development Grant Program and the SECUF Community Impact Grant Program.

Supports ‘Growth & Sustainability’

“The Credit Union Development Grant Program aims to support the growth and sustainability of credit unions by providing financial aid for projects that improve staff and volunteer development, technology adoption, and operational efficiency,” the SECUF said. “The program’s primary goal is to empower credit unions with the tools and resources to better serve their members.”

In addition, the SSECUF said the Community Impact Grant Program is designed to fund projects that positively impact the community, such as financial education programs, community development initiatives, and charitable giving efforts.

“This program will provide support to LSCU-member credit unions and chapters in their efforts to enhance their communities and encourage credit union philanthropy,” the foundation said.

‘Enhance Their Communities’

"We are thrilled to launch the Growth and Impact Grant Program which provides support to our member credit unions and chapters," said Bobbi Grady, foundation director. "We believe this program will help credit unions enhance their communities and drive credit union philanthropy in the Southeastern region."

The Growth and Impact Grant Program applications are now open.
