Small- and Medium-Size Businesses Continue to Worry About Access to Credit

NEW YORK—Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) continue to say accessing credit remains an issue.

According to a new survey, just 47% of SMBs with annual revenues of $10 million or less had access to business or personal financing as of July 2023, leaving them “vulnerable to financial uncertainties,” Pymnts.com said..

“Corporate credit cards stand out as the preferred choice for 52% of SMBs searching for alternative financing, surpassing options like business loans from online lenders (22%) or working capital loans from banks (21%),” Pymnts.com said.
