SkyOne FCU Names New President/CEO

HAWTHORNE, Calif.–SkyOne Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO. The $468-million SkyOne said it has selected Joseph Whitaker to lead the organization, succeeding Eileen Rivera, who has been with the credit union for 31 years. 

“Joseph Whitaker is a capable, results oriented leader. He is the right person, at the right time to lead SkyOne Credit Union forward into an exciting future for our members,” said Board Chair Doug Murphy.

Whitaker had previously served as the executive vice president/chief operating officer at Kinecta Federal Credit Union for the past seven years, and prior to that had held the same position with Truliant FCU in North Carolina.

Whitaker has more than  27 years of credit union experience, Joseph has held numerous board leadership positions in the credit union industry and the community, many of which have involved financial education for teenagers, the credit union said.

"I am grateful and honored to be selected as the next CEO of SkyOne Credit Union,” said Joseph. “SkyOne has a long, successful history of meeting member’s financial needs. I am looking forward to working with the board and our employees to continue to enhance the quality of our member's financial lives."

The placement was handled by O’Rourke and Associates.
