RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—In honor of Giving Tuesday next week, CO-OP Financial Services said it will provide CUAid with a $100 donation for every credit union employee to register for THINK 19 through Nov.27, 2018.
Now in its 12th year, CO-OP describes the THINK meeting as a year-round platform for credit union collaboration, innovation and evolution. THINK 19 will take place in Miami May 6-9, 2019, under the theme “Opportunity Never Rests.”
Registration for THINK 19 can be completed at http://co-opthink.org/events. Registrants should use promo code GIVING19 and receive $100 off the “Fall Special” rate, enabling them to attend THINK 19 for $1,199.
Part of the National Credit Union Foundation, CUAid is an online disaster relief fundraising center for credit unions and their members. CO-OP Financial Services, on behalf of its client credit unions, have supported CUAid throughout 2018, donating a total of $20,000 during September and October to assist with CUAid’s relief efforts following Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael. In November, CO-OP made an additional $10,000 donation to CUAid for relief efforts connected to the recent California wildfires.
‘As Strong as a Hurricane or Fire’
“Credit unions working together are a force as strong as any hurricane or wildfire,” said Samantha Paxson, chief experience officer for CO-OP. “We’re proud to help our credit union communities by assisting the mission of CUAid.”
Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 as a way of kicking off charitable giving during the holiday season, following the major Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping days.
