Shipbuilders CU CEO Steimle to Sail Off Into Retirement; Successor Named

MANITOWOC, Wis.–Mike Steimle, the longtime president and CEO of Shipbuilders Credit Union here, has announced plans to retire.

The $113-million Shipbuilders CU said Steimle, who joined the credit union January of 2000, plans to step down but will remain with the credit union during a transition period to new leadership.

The credit union has named Glenn Stiteley to succeed Steimle as CEO.

In a video that was released as part of the retirement announcement, Steimle said what he has been "most proud of" during his tenure is "we put together a team that got along well and did what it took to get the job done and serve members.”
