Shift Toward Cashless Society Continues Its Slow Build

NEW YORK—The shift towards becoming a cashless society continues its slow build.

New data from TradingPlatforms.com, an education and comparison platform for online traders, forecast that by 2024 mobile wallets will be responsible for one-third of all POS transactions globally.

Even prior to the pandemic small business owners were looking at cashless payments as a way of driving bottom line improvements by reducing costs, Small Business Trends reported.

Since the health crisis arrived, cashless payments have become even more prevalent, deemed as a safer, more convenient and less expensive way of managing money, the News outlet noted.
