Services Center FCU Names New CEO

Philiip Heinlen

YANKTON, S.D.–Services Center FCU has named a new CEO.

Philiip Heinlen has been named to lead the organization, after having previously been CEO for four years of Northwest Consumers FCU.

According to the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD), Heinlen was familiar with Services Center FCU and its former CEO, David Wright, after the two met because they shared the same data processor. The CUAD said Wright encouraged Heinlen to interview for the CEO position as he was nearing retirement.

While at Northwest Consumers FCU, Heinlen oversaw an increase in assets of 27% over a 17-month period, while also adding member driven services such as student loans and business loans and mortgages. In four years under his leadership, the credit union grew to $18 million in assets from $12 million.

The $59-million Services Center FCU currently has three branches with 21 employees in Yankton, Springfield and Parkston.

Heinlen has previously held positions with National City Bank and Irwin Union Bank.
