DANVILLE, Penn.–Service 1st FCU has named a new president and CEO to succeed Bill Lavage when he retires in September.
The $641-million credit union has selected its chief financial officer, Mike Thomas, to lead the organization. Thomas, who was named as CFO in 2013, has also served as VP-finance and accounting manager and has been with the credit union for more than 12 years.
Prior to joining Service 1st, Thomas held positions with First Keystone Bank and as an auditor with the Bryn Mawr Trust Co., according to his LinkedIn profile.
Bill Lavage has served in his current position for 42 years.
Service 1st, which was founded in 1975, has approximately 39,000 members.
