WASHINGTON–The Senate has scheduled a hearing for next week on the job being done by federal financial regulators, but no regulatory agencies will be among those testifying.
Instead, the Senate Banking Committee hearing titled “Guidance, Supervisory Expectations, and the Rule of Law: How do the Banking Agencies Regulate and Supervise Institutions,” will include four people from outside government.
Scheduled to appear as witnesses are:
- Patricia McCoy, professor of law with the Boston College Law School
- Greg Baer, president and CEO with the Bank Policy Institute
- Margaret Tahyar, partner with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP
