WASHINGTON—Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, has joined the lineup of Congressmen who are scheduled to speak at NAFCU’s 2022 Congressional Caucus.
As CUToday.info has reported, Brown and the Senate Banking Committee have been addressing a number of issues related to credit unions and consumer finance. Most recently, Brown expressed concern over the collection and sale of consumer financial data practices and its “holistic effect” on the U.S. financial system. He shared those concerns in a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in June.
